Last week, our Immediate Past President, the soon-to-be Dr. Chief Shā Rogers, successfully defended her dissertation, “Educator Sexual Misconduct: A Mixed-Methods Study on Its Effects on School Administrators and School-Based Peace Officers, and Strategies for Prevention.” Her professional commitment is, and will always remain, the protection of our most vulnerable population—our children. Having witnessed firsthand the consequences of these offenses during her work as a juvenile criminal investigator, She is unwavering in her resolve to ensure such harm is prevented wherever possible. She is excited to make it official when she graduates in May of this year.
Blessing of the Badge Event
Members of Houston NOBLE participated in the 2026 Houston Coalition of Omegas 5th Annual Youth Leadership Conference and S.T.E.M. Program was held on September 19th at Texas City High School.
Thank you to Houston Chapter’s Sgt-AT-ARMS, Ms. Jacqueline Potter for doing ALL the legwork to make our participation in the TLYC possible.
Our Associate Member Representative, Derron Jenkins, physically led the charge by setting up our table at the event.
We were honored to learn that Dr. Ballard is a natural instructor. Her tone, rate, volume, and engaging manner were an unadulterated HIT!
In fact, we were only supposed to have 15 minutes, but because of Dr. Ballard’s engaging style, she held the audience for 35 minutes!
45 minutes after she finished speaking, she was still answering questions, not to mention fielding personal invitations to speak. I can’t tell you how proud I am of this Chapter!
